Project 2 features SGI Buddhists ages 13 to 18.

Project 3 features SGI Buddhists ages 5 to 12.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
In order for your submission to be considered, it MUST follow these guidelines:

1.) Word Count for Teen and Adult Submissions (ages 13 and up): 500 - 3,000.

2.) Word Count for Kid Submissions (ages 5 to 12): 200 - 2,000.

3.) You can send in as many stories as you want. But please stick to one topic for each story. Don’t include a lot of different life experiences in the same write-up.

4.) We're looking for all kinds of topics—nothing is off limits. Stories about how you first came to practice Buddhism are welcome. As we receive submissions, we may put out another request for specific story topics.

5.) Show how your Buddhist practice as a member of the SGI helped you overcome a particular problem.

6.) Show how you grew or changed in a good way because you went through what you went through.

7.) Include the struggle. What were the really difficult parts about facing your problem? How did you use your practice to make it through?

8.) What did your learn about yourself through dealing with your problem?

9.) Please write the way you talk. Talking out loud while you write might help you do this. Use the simplest words you can to say what you want to say.

10.) Please don’t use Buddhist or SGI words or phrases that people who aren’t Buddhist won’t understand. If you think you must use such words or phrases, please explain what they mean as part of your write-up.
